Sometimes the little things grow to be harder than usual. Dishes pile up up up, and clothes become continents covering your bedroom floor. You escape to the internet, but it swallows you whole. And suddenly, everything becomes a little less fun and a lot more overwhelming.

Sometimes, everything is everywhere, all of the time and nothing is as it should be. But slowly, slowly, it gets better. And so will you.

This book is for the friend who has trouble keeping up with group messages, for the sibling who needs a reminder to check the bottom drawer of their fridge, and for the emerging artist who should stop procrastinating and fold their laundry.

K. Marie is a Meanjin (Brisbane) based writer, lover of magic realism and avid bubble tea drinker.
