Poetry, chapbook, 48 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

Somewhere, inside of the aging and bending body of a woman, there exists a little girl sitting under a willow tree. She often visits with each of the friends she’s met through her long, short life, and as these soft souls weave delicate windflowers through their gentle fingers, they tell one another of their journeys. They listen. They share. They place flower crowns on one another’s heads and they grow.

This is a collection of poetry inspired by those female friendships, some lasting for only a moment, some for all of eternity- but all of which are valid, important, and pertinent to the structure of a feminine life well lived.

Audrey E. L. Coots is an award-winning writer currently residing in North Carolina. She has had work published with Shoals Woman Magazine in Alabama, Indy Boomer Magazine in Indiana, and Face Acadiana Magazine in Louisiana, among others. She has written four novels and has been included in several anthologies. This is her debut book of poetry.
