Pixelated contains 20 haikus that briefly, yet impactfully, explores the journey from self-doubt to self-acceptance and growth. Anxiety can be a powerful force that may keep one from reaching their goals. The path in front of you can be blurry and pixelated in your mind, though after time it may become less so. You can listen to that inner voice, the one that tells you what everyone is thinking of you, or you can find your own voice that raises you up and pushes you forward.

Life is brief and moments of clarity is something that should be cherished and strived for. At one point, you may feel like a pixel; small and insignificant. Though it takes time to realize that you’re part of something bigger and greater. You’re a piece of importance and glow just as bright as others around you. 

Andi Leigh is a Filipino-American poet and short story writer from Western Massachusetts. They were born in Cambridge, England. They began writing at a young age and enjoy writing poetry about death, loss, love, and nature. Their short stories center around themes of horror and the supernatural. Andi Leigh's writing is heavily influenced by the works of Edgar Allan Poe, Shel Silverstein, Emily Dickinson, Stephen King, and R. L. Stine to name a few. They published their first novella, Her Favorite Color, in 2016 as well as several chapbooks that they compiled into the collection Spooky Tales and Poetry in 2022. Andi Leigh also enjoys drawing, photography, and video games.
