Poetry, chapbook, 28 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

Alone is a moving collection of poems that dives into the raw emotions surrounding isolation, self doubt and the struggle for finding independence. With themes of heartache, self-worth, and the heaviness of unspoken fears, each poem shows a journey through pain and growth. From the suffocating feeling of being discarded to the bittersweet longing for connection, the author captures the complexity of emotions that come with feeling lost, misunderstood, and alone.

Yet, amidst the shadows of despair, there is a flicker of hope—an enduring strength that rises from within. This chapbook is a reflection on the painful yet transformative power of navigating life's darkest moments. Ultimately, Alone is contemplation on the complexity of human emotions and the challenge of figuring out where you belong in the world. With a strong hope that even in our darkest moments we can find the light that will help guide us to where we are meant to be.

Growing up Nataliya had always felt a connection with writing. For a long time that was the only way she could communicate how she truly felt. Nataliya grew up in North Eastern Connecticut and has always wanted something more for herself than what her parents had. They always told her they wanted more for her than what they had. When she started showing her father her stories he immediately started pushing her to write more. She can remember the first time she showed him one of her stories, she was in fourth grade and he didn’t believe that she wrote it. Since that day her father has been her biggest supporter when it comes to her writing and when she chose to go to college in Northern Maine for that purpose he couldn’t have been more excited. She is currently a creative writing major at the University of Maine at Farmington and wouldn’t be where she is right now if it wasn’t for her father.
