Throughout childhood, she loved the color; however, as she grows, her relationship with color evolves as she grapples with her queerness.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eThreading together queerness, femininity, and color, this collection explores the impact of societal expectations and associations. Does pink always suggest femininity? Can the relationship between a queer woman and the color pink be mended?\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eSamantha Giesen is from Belle Plaine, Minnesota, and graduated from Morningside University in May 2025 with a Bachelor’s degree in English. In her first year at Morningside, she took a creative writing class where she fell in love with poetry. That same year she won first place in Morningside University’s art and literary magazine, \u003cem\u003eKiosk\u003c\/em\u003e.
