I’m Antisocial, Coffee Never Lies is an insolent toddler wading through the pool of social awkwardness, gender dynamics, and over caffeinated nights spent at Starbucks. Mallory Smart presents this not as a collection of individual poems but more as an incomplete thought that just keeps wandering through space. In the days following her decision to quit her day-job and become a writer, Mallory found herself on the other end of strange interaction whilst sipping on coffee. This is an analysis of that, which constantly begs the question: why are people just so freaking weird?
Mallory Smart is a Chicago-based writer. She founded Maudlin House in 2013 and is the Editor-in-Chief.
