Despite such theoretical concerns, Paper Cup remains rooted in the poet’s own encounters with institutionalization. The poems included in \u003cem\u003ePaper Cup\u003c\/em\u003e are driven by jagged, immediate imagery and an underlying desire to heal and grow through language.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp align=\"justify\"\u003eLogan McDermott-Mostowy is a writer and educator from Washington, DC.
