THINGS I COULD SCREAM TO THE WORLD (but never whisper to you) is a collection of poems that have been born from all the things we want to say to people we are close to but find it somehow difficult to get out using our voices.

With the innocence of a child mixed with the heartache of an adult, this collection reminds us how sweet life can be and how sadness teaches us to embrace events that make us stronger. These poems wrap us up like a warm blanket that makes us feel comforted, just knowing we are not alone. They hold us together when it seems others cannot relate. THINGS I COULD SCREAM TO THE WORLD (but never whisper to you) touches that part of you that you forgot was there, like a childhood memory that formed who you are today.

Dreams, fears, and questions are held deep within us, where we hide our truths. These poems were created in a place just like that. Some things are easy to share, but not always with the one person who is heavy on our hearts.

Words are a powerful tool and live on for years only to become friends to those who read them. These poems are a group of new friends for the reader, who never knew they needed them.

A free spirit on a personal journey to connect people through words Julie Houston has been writing since she was very young. Being an American born and raised overseas has given Julie a unique perspective on many cultures, which has helped inspire her writing. With an architect father, a mother who loved writing, and five siblings who she had to keep up with, ideas to write about were never lacking. Julie has grown up dedicated to promoting togetherness through art, music, and poetry. Julie has blended many of life’s lessons, trials, and successes to create words that many can relate to. Love is a universal language and one of Julie’s favorites to use in her poetry.
