Kat Freeze is a Chicago-based poet and spoken word performer. She was a 2023 Gwendolyn Brooks Open Mic Awards Semifinalist and the 2018 Louder Than a Bomb College Slam Champion. She studied Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse at DePaul University and her work has appeared in Beyond Words, 14East and Motley Magazine.
