Poetry, chapbook, 16 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

Lone Wolf explores identity, isolation, and transformation through the speaker’s journey. Beginning as a puppy who just wants to belong, the speaker navigates the pain of being misunderstood and feeling ‘other’. When they finally encounter someone like them the connection is intense, forcing them to face hard truths and reflect. In the end, the speaker is alone once again, but accepts their nature and no longer desires to conform.

This collection of poetry is very personal to the author as she used it as a way to process and reflect on her own experiences. These poems attempt to capture those intimate and raw feelings.

Morgan Kiehnhoff is an emerging poet and author based in Kansas. Lone Wolf is her debut chapbook and she is excited to finally start sharing her writing with you all. When not writing, Morgan enjoys reading, crocheting, and having dance parties with her daughter.
