Poetry, chapbook, 28 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

A Poet In Three Parts is a book about everything that makes a poet tick, or at least this poet. The chief topics being love, dreams, and fire respectively, the author takes us through a journey within each of these realms; each of which exhibiting unique imagery and thematic elements before blending seamlessly into the next world.

Also layered into this work are themes of grief, loss, and trauma. Though these elements are present in the piece, they are not overbearing to avoid overshadowing the main focus of the three distinct and whimsical sections. In this collection the author focuses on not leaning into one feeling too heavily. Rather, he attempts to blend numerous nuanced images, scenes, and emotions to create as elegant of a picture he can in less than thirty pages.

Zachary T. Holt is a second-year creative writing student at The University of Maine at Farmington who aims to write good poetry and inspire other people to be creative. He loves learning from passionate people and hopes to, one day, reach a large audience with his work. He takes the beauty and isolation of the Maine woods and uses it as inspiration in much of his work.
