Poetry, chapbook, 36 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

Asheley Nova Navarro writes Child's Eyes / Mother's Womb and Other Poems as a bilingual ode to social perception through the lenses of innocence and youth, which attempts to capture, in verse, the remnants of the natural world through the four walls of her home. Child's Eyes / Mother's Womb and Other Poems tries to hold onto fleeting elements, such as language, multiculturalism, and an ever-changing society.

Impermanence defines this chapbook, with themes dissolving amid a span of verses, contributing more and more to the transiency of the world - girlhood, allure, and lineage meld into a storyline that soothes the senses.

Asheley Nova Navarro (Santo Domingo, 2007) is a Dominican-Spaniard student poet receiving an Honorable Mention in the 2023 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards for a poetry anthology and, in her earlier years, a second-place distinction in "Te Regalo un Sueño" 2015, a prose competition exclusive to her native Dominican Republic. Asheley Nova Navarro writes poetry in Spanish and English, as recently published with Copihue Poetry, The Creative Zine, and Revista Digital El Coloso. She now resides in Georgia, where she continues cultivating her budding passion for creative writing.
