little crushes is Grace Treutel’s third chapbook with Bottlecap Press. In this collection, she indulges in the fantasy of the crush, exploring the little limerences that naturally spark when  we meet and connect with others. The ‘little’ in the title refers to the collective nature of these occurrences, and through this numbered walk-through of her heart, Grace hopes to showcase her crushes like an avid collector showcasing their displays of bric-a-brac.

If you’re reading little crushes and think you recognize yourself in its pages, lean into that feeling. It’s likely that you do; Grace has a knack for finding something crush-worthy in everyone, and if you two have met, she has probably played out the ‘what if?’ of it all at least a little bit.

Grace Treutel is a marriage and family therapist living in the deep south. She has a handful of kids, a handful of pets, and is lucky enough to be married to her biggest crush. When not agonizing over her novel manuscripts, Grace enjoys practicing aerial yoga, attempting to knit, and pretending to be a local in new cities.
