Poetry, chapbook, 44 pages, from Bottlecap Features.
Dolce Vita/Let There Be a Little Light is an experimental flip chapbook exploring the contrast between reality and dreamscape.
Inspired by the autofiction of Tove Ditlevsen, Marguerite Duras, and Marcel Proust, and the poetry of Richie Hofmann, Jean-Baptiste Pedini, and Diane Seuss, Dolce Vita is an intimate lyrical diary, revealing 15-line flashes of queer life over the course of a year and centering on digital dependency, despondency, and dying desire.
Inspired by Sylvia Plath and written in the early-morning hours she described as “blue,” Let There Be a Little Light reveals surreal 10-line flashes of the speaker's daily transition from dark to light, from dream back to reality.
