Poetry, chapbook, 28 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

A journey through digging out of the deep well of bad love steeped in shame. Wishing that person could understand the depths of what you are going through. See the pain you are constantly facing. Yet, you don’t feel they deserve to know. The person you loved has become a stranger to you, in ways you never anticipated, coming to terms with that is the one of the hardest things you will ever have to do.

There is healing through the breakdown, and freedom through the pain, in learning to end something so that you can live knowing that love does not have to hurt. Viscera, is to love and lose, to be seen and to be invisible, and ultimately what it may be to feel free.

Sadee Bee (They/She) is a queer artist and writer inspired by magic, strange dreams, and creepy vibes. She has an associate degree in liberal arts with a focus in psychology and sociology. Bee’s work draws heavily from her experiences with mental illness and trauma, and she is also inspired by music and the divine feminine expression. Bee is the Visual Arts Editor for Sage Cigarettes Magazine and the author of Pupa: Growth & Metamorphosis (Alien Buddha Press) and Magic Lives In Girls (kith books).
