Arranged in four sections—Genealogy, Numerology, Semiology, and Cosmology—the poems explore the force and influence of family, numbers, symbols, and spirituality using a range of styles and forms.

Originally from New England, Annamaria Formichella currently lives in northwest Iowa. Her interests include distance running, modernist literature, and mushroom pizza, but her true passion is writing. Her creative work has been published in several collections and magazines, including Gyroscope Review, Litbreak Magazine, Anacapa Review, and Hippocampus Magazine. She loves the texture of words and the shiver of recognition that happens when you encounter language that moves you.
