Poetry, chapbook, 16 pages, from Bottlecap Features.
Faith-Anne Bell lost her husband at the age of 41. She gathered their three sons close to her & turned to poetry to process the enormous loss. This poetry collection follows her first year of life as a young widow.
The poems detail little, personal moments that touch upon the universal truths found in grief. Together they weave a tapestry of the holidays, struggles, & triumphs that create a life. By holding a mirror up to loss, Faith-Anne allows the reader to catch glimpses of themselves in her pain.
Faith-Anne Bell has been writing poetry since she was 8 years old. She became involved in writing to process the passing of her father. She has an English Literature BA from UMBC with a minor in American Studies. Faith-Anne has been in many magazines and books including Modern Haiku, Pen In Hand, Prudence Dispatch, Gaslamp Pulp, & Stanza: Growth. Faith-Anne is a part of the local poetry scene & can be found reading her work at Baltimore area open mics. This is Faith-Anne’s first collection of poems.
