Poetry, chapbook, 20 pages, from Bottlecap Features.
After a decade Bo understands the embedded tensions of working in a warehouse. Because of the warehouse Bo graduated college while still being able to work. His bosses understood when he needed an extra day off or picking up some extra days when classes weren’t in session.
On the other hand, working at a warehouse was really hot and boring work. A warehouse worker is overworked at times, under worked in others, and isn’t appreciated particularly well. The aim of this chapbook is to encapsulate this love/hate relationship he has with the warehouse.
Bo is forty-three years old. Some of his favorite poets include: Theodore Roethke, James Tate, and the symbolist poets of Russia and France. Bo wants to write poems. That’s all. Working in a warehouse afforded him the ability to finally graduate college with a Bachelor’s Degree in creative writing. After graduation he used his creative energy to both celebrate and castigate the warehouse. He has been published in Eucalyptus, Roi Faineant, Boats Against the Current, and Wireworm magazines.
