Prose, poetry, chapbook, 28 pages, from Bottlecap Features.
In the Distance From Us is a quiet, introspective collection of poems and short essays on perception, memory, and the fragile architecture of selfhood.
At its core, the chapbook lingers on the idea of being, self-worth, and connections. The “distance” in the title gestures toward something luminous and far away, yet reachable, and the journey to navigate the path is also worth treasuring.
Dwelling in the uncertainty of the path of finding oneself and connecting with others, In the Distance From Us traces how emotional identity is shaped and expressed, and the journey of believing in oneself.
