This short story collection explores the in-and-out-of-this world life stories of three thieves – Kira, a master thief trained by her loved ones, Mira, a thief questioning her life choices in the middle of a diamond heist, and Thira, a thief jumping worlds to steal water pearls while secretly searching for family. Intertwined are three narratives told through the voices of an on-her-toes teacher, a bluesy city traveler, and a vexed interplanetary judge. W. C. Aldridge began her writing career in the field of education. Since branching out, she has written and published articles for magazines, created materials for book publishers, ghostwritten life stories and published poetry. Aldridge published My Soul’s Journey poetry collection in 2021. My Soul’s Journey received the 2022 Eric Hoffer Finalist Award. Her fiction has been published in the Teach. Write. Journal. She has also written a column called Purposeful Gospel Profiles featuring gospel artists and their music. Aldridge resides in Chicago with her husband.
