Poetry, chapbook, 32 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

Our love for music as humans isn’t innocent. By continually yearning for the noise of romance and intrigue of harmonies, we exhaust the true beauty of its Melody. In this chapbook, drawn from the hidden heart of its author, there is a rejuvenating sincerity of tone that whispers, softly, the mysteries of the unknown.

Piece by piece, these poems reconcile the spirit of music with the tragic yearning of humankind. This yearning is Mother Nature’s last gift to us. She is saddened by the way we have misused her song. She is weeping with compassion. She calls on us to have foresight for the dangerous precipice we approach. She misses the beauty of her youth, but knows it was She who bore in us our love for Melody.

Matthew Kostmayer has lived most of his life in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he discovered his love for poetry. His favorite authors are Clarice Lispector and Isidore Ducasse.
