The Nail Set is a collection of heartfelt poems about previous chapters of my life, when rooms were bigger, life was longer, written over a period of time pertaining to events that are connected, speaking of joy, sorrow and sometimes terror.

We had a joyous home, what the kids called the Koolaid House, for all who gathered there, all ages. There was also pain and loss, culminating to a time when my husband was stricken with meningitis and sepsis, hospitalized for several months, and came home altered and damaged.

Margo Jodyne Dills (she/her) is an active member of Hugo House in Seattle and Epic Write in Edmonds, Washington. She holds a Certificate in Writing from the University of Washington. Her friends call her Jodi. She lives in Shoreline, Washington with her precious chihuahua rescue, Penny Lane, and manages an 80-unit apartment building.
