Prose, chapbook, 24 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

Seconds of time have been caught by the eye, the ear, and the heart and recorded in the 100-word story collection by Jan B. Parker, She, Me, It, and Love. Some of these are creative non-fiction. Most are straight fiction, all inspired by folks and animals who’ve caught her attention, both privately and on the sly. (Smile) She is greatly taken with Mother Nature, the twists and turns she presents us with as we go along in this calico-like human condition of ours. Jan thanks Bottlecap Press for accepting her work and cheers all who read this, her very first chapbook.

Artist/Writer Jan B. Parker lives and works on the coast of North Carolina where the wild beauty of Harlowe Creek continuously inspires her. Jan’s abstract paintings can be found in private homes and businesses across the state. A few of her publishing credentials include Glint Literary Journal, South Writ Large, Germ Magazine, Change Seven Magazine, and Shark Reef Literary Journal. Jan’s novella Hard Times and Happenstance earned First Place in Press 53’s 2010 Open Awards, and she was awarded a professional development grant from the United Arts of Wake County in 2017. Jan is the Fiction Editor for indy press, The Main Street Rag and a fourth-year reader for CutBank Literary Journal (U of Montana).
