Poetry, chapbook, 36 pages, from Bottlecap Features.

Allen Seward is in the business of writing poems, and even if business isn’t always “great,” the lights haven’t been shut off yet. thank you I hate you is a small collection of poems covering topics ranging from self-acceptance and existential dread to the act (and love-hate relationship) of writing itself.

The poems contained within may not enlighten you with any deep truth you don’t already know, but it’s best to approach them as if they were some sort of hissing animal anyway. Just to be safe. Have at it, but be responsible, or don’t. As the great sage once said: “Buy the ticket, take the ride.” So let’s giddyup.

Allen Seward is a poet from the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia. He is the  author of multiple poetry collections, including the grimy job called living and butterfly gut. His work has appeared in journals such as Scapegoat Review, Chewers, and A Thin Slice of Anxiety. He currently resides in WV with his partner and five cats.
